摘要: Objective: To identify the effectiveness of “facilitated tucking,” a nonpharmacologic nursing intervention, as comfort measure in modulating preterm neonates' physiologic and behavioral responses to minor pain. Design: Prospective, repeated measure, random sequencing, experimental. Setting: Level III neonatal intensive-care unit tertiary care university pediatric hospital. Participants: Thirty neonates, 25-35 weeks gestation. Interventions: Heart rate, oxygen saturation, sleep state were recorded 12 minutes before, during, 15 after two heelsticks, one with without facilitated tucking. Hypothesis: Premature neonates will have less variation heart rate hemoglobin shorter crying disruption times, fluctuation states response painful stimulus heelstick tucking than without. Results: Neonates demonstrated lower mean 6–10 post-stick (p < 0.04), time 0.001), fewer sleep-state changes = 0.003) without. Conclusion: Facilitated is an effective attenuating premature psychologic pain.
