摘要: Abstract A pilot field study was performed in Columbus, OH, during the winter of 1986/1987. The objectives were to determine feasibility use a newly developed quiet sampler indoor air sampling for particles and semivolatile organic compounds (SVOC) measure concentrations polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH), PAH derivatives, nicotine selected residences. Eight homes chosen on basis these characteristics: electric/gas heating system, cooking appliances, absence/presence environmental tobacco smoke (ETS). equipped with quartz-fiber filter collect followed by XAD-4 resin trap SVOC. PS-1 similar module used outdoors. sampled kitchen living room areas over two consecutive 8-h periods. outdoor concurrently samples 16-h period. Fifteen PAH, five nitro-PAH, oxygenated three nitrogen heterocyclic determined samples. most abundant found indoors naphthalene. derivatives lower than those their parent compounds.
