摘要: Hyperspectral images are used to assess biodiversity in a coastal reef with coral species. An algorithm for assessing benthic habitats is presented. The method consists of capturing spectral heterogeneity from hyperspectral using vector quantization (VQ) and use the result prediction species richness. results compared that Hierarchical Agglomerative Clustering (HAC) method. validation process index done by comparing Shannon entropy actual field data computed image. image corresponds marine area Enrique Reef La Parguera, Puerto Rico which includes all biological communities associated sea floor, top intertidal zone inner reaches estuaries down deep sea. This work provides fundamental basic information on automating assessment remote sensing satellite images.
