摘要: Abstract The Swedish Parliament has voted for massive expansion of wind power within the next decade. As in many other countries, establishment new farms aroused local opposition. This paper contributes to literature using a qualitative methodology analyse attitudes towards power. In 2007, we carried out in-depth interviews with 40 stakeholders concerned two planned near-shore Sweden; despite their location, farms' visual impact provoked strong negative attitudes. However, found no evidence NIMBY-syndrome; rather, those opposing question more generally, especially vis-a-vis nuclear analysis is based on three components: cognition, feeling and action tendency. results show high consistency between cognitive components attitudes: regarding landscape impact, example, accompanied by belief that inefficient unprofitable. cases tendency component dissonance two: opponents remain passive being against farms. These represent elements uncertainty as they may suddenly, at late stage, turn into active exerting an effect decision process.
