摘要: This study meta-analyzes thirty-nine results published within last ten years that directly compared Web and mail survey modes. Although considerable variation exists across the studies, authors’ findings show surveys have higher response rates than in general. Two features (i.e., population types follow-up reminders) are shown to contribute statistically of rate differences between paper comparative studies. College respondents appear be more responsive surveys, while some other (e.g., medical doctors, school teachers, general consumers) prefer traditional surveys. Follow-up reminders less effective for respondents. Other implementation random assignment respondents, incentives, publication year) not useful accounting
