摘要: Ultrasonography of the bones and joints has gained considerable ground in field rheumatology over past decade is now used everyday practice both for diagnostic purposes to guide local injections. However, use ultrasonography virtually confined peripheral joints, whereas spinal diseases make a major contribution practice. Studies have established that lumbar spine feasible. Adequate equipment familiarity with sonoanatomy are required. In this update, we suggest starting systematic examination assess various anatomic structures, from thoracolumbar fascia superficially posterior part vertebras at deepest level. The ligaments, erector spinae muscles, facet transverse processes can be visualized. serve injections into about nerve roots, iliolumbar ligaments; as well identify relevant landmarks before epidural injection. Although applications more limited present, studies abnormal findings will allow evaluations potential usefulness diagnosing disorders. depth structures limits ability obtain high-resolution images. future technical improvements ultrasound transducers machines, together growing number physicians trained ultrasonography, expected benefit development near future.
