摘要: SN 2002cx-like Type Ia supernovae (also known as SNe Iax) represent one of the most numerous peculiar classes. They differ from normal by having fainter peak magnitudes, faster decline rates and lower photospheric velocities, displaying a wide diversity in these properties. We present both integral-field long-slit visual-wavelength spectroscopy host galaxies explosion sites Iax to provide constraints on their progenitor formation scenarios. The explosion-site metallicity distribution is similar that core-collapse metal poor compared either or 1991T-like events. Fainter members, speculated form distinctly brighter Iax, are found at range metallicities, extending very environments. Although explosion-sites’ ages star comparatively older less intense than star-forming regions across galaxies, we confirm presence young stellar populations (SPs) environments for expanded here larger sample. Ages SPs (several × 107 108 yr) consistent with predictions thermonuclear electron-capture progenitors. lack extremely disfavours massive progenitors such Wolf–Rayet explosions significant fallback. find weak ionized gas only without obvious signs formation. source ionization remains ambiguous but appears unlikely be mainly due young, stars.
