摘要: Most invasive breast cancers arise from ductal carcinoma in-situ (DCIS), a non-obligate precursor of cancer. Given that the natural history individual DCIS lesions is unpredictable, many women with receive extensive treatments, which may include surgery, radiation and endocrine therapy, even though these have limited potential to progress invasion metastasize. In contrast valid concerns about over-treatment, fact outnumber by more than three-to-one, suggests cancer precursors (particularly DCIS, but LCIS also) prior detection. Thus, poses dual problem over diagnosis among some failure early detection others. These are heightened multi-fold increase in rates conjunction widespread use mammographic screening access outpatient radiologically-guided biopsies. Accordingly, methods needed both specifically detect identify discover techniques triage conservatively manage indolent cases DCIS.
