摘要: Abstract 2,3-Dimethoxy-5-methyl-1,4-benzoquinone (Q 0 ), an analogue of ubiquinone, irreversibly paralyses the adult and microfilariae cattle filarial parasite Setaria digitata. The same concentration Q that S. digitata also human Wuchereria bancrofti within duration. Thus experiments done in model system can well be extended to system. A drug at level quinone-centered energy generating system, perhaps quinone like , inactivate parasites may prove effective control filariasis.
