摘要: In hypoxic conditions cells switch to the anaerobic pathway of glucose metabolism. As a byproduct lactate is produced together with H+, lowering pH. Acidity beyond some threshold may cause cell death. Moreover, metabolism far less efficient in terms ATP production, and scarce availability result insufficient production rate sustain life. this paper first all we review results concerning structure multicellular tumor spheroids which onset necrotic core caused by drop below viability threshold. Then shortly discuss effects combined excess acidity on both vascular avascular tumors. The last part devoted phenomenon acid mediated invasion, exploits different resistance normal cells. particular, one dimensional model discussed invasion takes form travelling wave front.
