Caracterización de la producción científica de Ecuador en el periodo 2007–2017 en Scopus

摘要: Ecuador has dramatically increased its scientific production in the last years, being sixth country of Latin America and The Caribbean with greater number articles indexed Scopus. objective this work was to study evolution Scopus for period 2007-2017, obtaining each year citations, percentage different quartiles, written English, Spanish or other languages, documents published as articles, reviews conferences proceedings among others. results showed an increase proportion Q4 a decrease Q1; Spanish; proceedings; there is no evidence on amount citations. These suggest that does not entail quality measured usability (citations), visibility (language), impact (quartile), which could be result incipient science generated country.
