摘要: Appreciation for the role of aldosterone and mineralocorticoid receptors in cardiovascular disease is accelerating rapidly. Recent experimental work has unveiled a strong relationship between brain sympathetic drive, an important determinant outcome heart failure hypertension. Two putative mechanisms are explored this manuscript. First, may influence discharge by regulating release pro-inflammatory cytokines into circulation. Blood-borne act upon microvasculature to induce cyclooxygenase-2 activity production prostaglandin E2, which penetrates blood–brain barrier activate nervous system. Second, drive upregulating renin–angiotensin system, resulting NAD(P)H oxidase-dependent superoxide production. A potential superoxide-dependent mitogen-activated protein kinase signalling pathways regulation nerve also considered. Other downstream contributing receptor-mediated excitation under investigation.
