Transient Pain Following Orthodontic Fixed Appliances Induces Sensitization of Gingival and Periodontal Tissues.

摘要: Aims: To evaluate the transient effects of orthodontic treatment on mechanical detection threshold (MDT) and pain (MPT) buccal attached gingiva pressure (PPT) teeth in two directions (perpendicular parallel). Methods: A total 20 patients (15 females 5 males) aged 18 to 30 years participated study. Perceived a 0- 10-cm visual analog scale (VAS) MDT, MPT, PPT scores were evaluated at time points masseter muscle, gingiva, teeth, hand (control) prior (T0) 24 hours after first archwire placement (T1).
