Influences of top clearance and liquid throughput on the performances of an external loop airlift slurry reactor integrated mixing and separation

摘要: Abstract A new developed external loop airlift slurry reactor, which was integrated with gas–liquid–solid three-phase mixing, mass transfer, and liquid–solid separation simultaneously, deemed to be a promising reactor due its prominent advantages such as achieving continuous of clear liquid from cyclic utilization solid particles without any extra energy, energy-saving, intrinsic safety design. The principal operating parameters, including gas separator volume, handling capacity, superficial velocity, are systematically investigated here promote the capabilities yield in pilot reactor. influences top clearance throughput on flow regime holdup riser, circulating volumetric transfer coefficient typical high free examined experimentally. It found that increasing volume could velocity by about 14.0% at most. Increasing capacity 0.9 m3·h−1 3.0 m3·h−1 not only increase output adverse consequences, but also enhance much 97.3%. Typical conditions can provide some necessary data guidelines for this upgrade performances.
