摘要: The wear and tear processes that are thought to contribute human ageing may play an important role in the development of vascular diseases. One such process is cellular senescence. In endothelial cells senescent phenotype can be induced by a number factors, including telomere damage, oxidative stress sustained mitogenic stimulation. Several lines evidence indicate cell senescence relevant disease. this chapter we examine causes, mechanisms regulation as they emerge from studies culture. We also describe discuss its pathophysiological implications. review for occurrence vivo findings animal models genetic disorders argue against age-related pathology. Finally, address particular case progenitor relevance phenomenon angiogenesis repair.
