摘要: After employing a special seawater sampler which strictly excludes artifact Pb-contamination, Pb profiles have been determined in the northeast Pacific revealing deep water concentrations as low 1 ng/kg and surface between 5 14 ng/kg. The enrichment appears to be due atmospheric input of anthropogenic lead. Mass balance flows lead through North open ocean waters for both prehistoric present times are depicted.
