摘要: To the Editor: Prokaryotes typically have a single circular chromosome. However, some bacteria >1 Vibrio bacteria, for example, 2 chromosomes: 1 (Ch1) and (Ch2) (1–3). Most recognizable genes responsible essential cell functions pathogenicity are located on Ch1. Ch2 is also thought to encode normal function those associated with virulence. Both chromosomes controlled coordinately in their replication segregation (4). Evidence suggests that was originally mega-plasmid captured by an ancestral species (2,5). We report characterization of recent isolates V. cholerae O1 from Thailand carry novel gigantic replicon (Rep.3) addition Ch1 Ch2.
