摘要: Between January 1978 and March 1981, 100 anterior mediastinotomies were performed in patients with proven or suspected lung cancer. It was done 72 times a tumor of the left lung, all presenting normal mediastinum. Of those patients, 59 had upper lobe: 30.5% latter found to have involved mediastinal lymphnodes (our yield this location 15.1% when using cervical mediastinoscopy); 16 lobe both an negative mediastinoscopy followed by approach: 4 became positive (25%). The mediastinotomy two suspect mediastinum: once positive, negative. 26 radiologically manifest enlarged mediastinum (7 on right side, 19 side); 24 histological diagnosis unknown. cases. For whole group we nodes 10 26, i.e. 38.5% despite findings at mediastinoscopy. We would therefore recommend every patient superior order establish exceptionally check operability. If is normal, approach has much more chance result than one located lobe.
