摘要: Foreign body aspiration in children is a problem that can lead to several complications, including death. In this retrospective publication review from 1970 2015, there were altogether 42 Malaysian below the age of 15 y reported with foreign (FB) ingestion. There 31 boys and 11 girls between 2 177 mo of age. The incidence FB ingestion varied dietary practices. Peanut was most common food-related substance inhaled followed by watermelon seed coconut kernel. non-food related substances metal objects (toys, springs, hair clips) plastic (ballpoint tips, pencil caps and whistles). Successful removal bronchoscopy achieved vast majority cases except for case impacted whistle inhalation neglected laryngeal which required tracheostomy.
