Individual tree variation and selection for yield and vigour: experience from Côte d'Ivoire.

摘要: This study entailed a comparison of the performances 22 single trees selected in progeny trial Bingerville (south-eastern Cote d'Ivoire) with those clones issued from their vegetative multiplication (plagiotropic cuttings), evaluated clonal at same locality. The traits observed were early and adult yield, vigour yield efficiency. When compared to seedling control present both trials, genotypes showed much lower relative value clone than hybrid trial. might suggest superiority for plagiotropic trees. In addition, similar level variation was between within clone, suggesting that inter-tree is mainly due environment. Correlation analysis revealed values could not properly be predicted which they obtained.
