Composite match autocompletion COMMA: A semantic result-oriented autocompletion technique for e-marketplaces

摘要: Autocompletion systems support users in the formulation of queries different situations, from development environments to web. In this paper we describe Composite Match COMMA, a lightweight approach introduction semantics realization semi-structured data autocompletion matching algorithm. The is formally described, then it applied and evaluated with specific reference e-commerce context. semantic extension algorithm exploits available information about product categories distinguishing features products enhance elaboration exploratory queries. COMMA supports seamless management both targeted/precise exploratory/vague ones, combining filtering scoring techniques. respect effectiveness efficiency real-world scenario: achieved improvement significant not associated sensible increase computational costs.
