摘要: The principal geologic and geochemical characteristics of the main classes sediment-hosted zinc–lead(–silver–barite) deposits (SEDEX, Mississippi Valley-type, Irish-type) are summarized with emphasis on similarities differences among them. Data that constrain sources fluids, metals, sulfur in proposed ore genesis models discussed. Preferred described, areas uncertainty highlighted. Key factors deposit formation considered to be generation brines favorable paleogeographic environments subsequent interaction these under appropriate conditions for efficient stripping metals from source rocks. Sulfide is derived principally near-deposit environment, ultimately sourced seawater sulfate. secular evolution chemistry supercontinent cycles have played important roles controlling periods when different types was favored.
