摘要: Objective: Moringa oleifera Lam. (Morangaceae) is a large glabrous tree, found throughout India. It well known for curing variety of ailments such as wound Healing, dysentery, fever, diarrhea and urinary problems. The present study highlights the pharmacognostical phytochemical parameters bark M. oleifera. Methods: quality control standardization was performed following standard prescribed in World Health Organization guidelines Indian Herbal Pharmacopoeia. Results: Standardization show that it contains calcium oxalate crystal, starch grains stone cells. High ash value may be due to presence crystals. Extractive high water compared other solvent which accounts comparatively more polar compounds. different chemical constituents carbohydrate, amino acid, terpenoid saponin. Total saponin content 3.022 mg/g equivalent diosgenin. Conclusion: observations will aid botanical identification drug crude form help distinguish from its species.
