摘要: Objectives: To apply an institutional clinical data warehouse (CDW) to the assessment of adverse drug reactions (ADRs) and demonstrate its utility through a specific example. Methods: We modeled process for assessing ADRs retrospective cohort design by using CDW at Osaka University Hospital as follows: 1) defined X, reaction (ADR) Y, laboratory measurement Z assess Y during given study period; 2) we excluded those whose value exceeded criteria or were not available inception cohort; 3) divided patients into two groups based on exposure non-exposure X; 4) matched patient characteristics between stratification randomization; 5) compared frequency who presented period groups. Aminoglycoside Cephalosporin associated nephrotoxicity in pediatric inpatients was used example usefulness this approach. Results: Our evaluation indicates that there is increased risk prescribed cephalosporin either alone combination with aminoglycoside; further, aminoglycoside tends increase cephalosporin-associated nephrotoxicity. Conclusions: findings are consistent drawn from other studies, indicating method applying useful ADRs.
