摘要: Objective: Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) of the tracheobronchial tree is quite uncommon. The clinicopathologic analysis and therapeutic outcomes ACC have been reported earlier. However, their biological behavior should differ from other tracheal neoplasms. Thus, DNA flow cytometric biomarkers p53, HER-2/neu COX-2 for were investigated in order to evaluate clinicopathological significance. Methods: Between 1985 1999, nine patients with included study. All had pathologically confirmed ACC. Five male four female. Eight underwent surgical resections. Seven paraffin embedded tumors six available cytomeric immunohistochemical staining COX-2. Results: Histologically, pathologic specimens eight (including one patient received operation twice) showed grade I, five II three III. mitotic activity, lymphatic invasion vascular more frequent advanced grading tumor. higher seemed be associated a synthetic phase fraction (SPF). Immunohistochemically, except tumor showing positive expression HER-2/neu, all seven tumorous samples revealed negative expressions HER-2/neu. distant metastases 4 years after surgery. Conclusions: Complete resection may provide best survival ploidy SPF correlate or metastasis. overexpressions p53 impact prognosis stage I non-small cell lung cancer, but did not express difference our patients. q 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. rights reserved.
