摘要: Cervical cancer caused by infection with the human papillomavirus (HPV), is leading cause of mortality among women in many low-resource countries and fourth globally. Decades cervical cytology screening subsequent treatment have resulted marked declines incidence developed regions, but resource-deprived regions lag behind because suboptimal access to treatment. Artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are showing promising results early detection prediction progression potential for future integration into modalities. This chapter begins an overview HPV infection, examines pathogenesis epidemiology; discusses effectiveness current primary secondary prevention strategies explores role AI improving screening, diagnosis goal eliminating cancer.
