摘要: The cytoskeleton is part of the tip-growth machinery that assembles in subapex elongating root hairs plant roots. role actin process well studied and understood (see Ketelaar Emons, this volume), whereas function microtubules (MTs) less clear. However, recent studies demonstrate MTs also play a crucial process. Here we discuss techniques to visualize hairs, give an overview on current knowledge structure, dynamics, MT different species, outlook future perspectives.
