摘要: BACKGROUND Matrix Gla protein (MGP) is a vitamin K dependent peptide which has an established role in suppression of vascular calcification. Recent studies have pointed to possible link between immunomodulatory effect MGP and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). AIM To compare plasma levels dephosphorylated uncarboxylated (dp-ucMGP) IBD patients controls. METHODS This cross-sectional study was conducted on 70 with (30 ulcerative colitis 40 Crohn's disease) 60 age gender matching healthy Plasma dp-ucMGP were analyzed from blood samples by CLIA method using IDS-iSYS InaKtif (Immunodiagnostic Systems, Frankfurt, Germany) according the manufacturer's instructions. fecal calprotectin (FC) determined stool turbidimetric immunoassay Buhlmann turbo assay (Buhlmann Laboratories Aktiengesellschaft, Schonenbuch, Switzerland). Other parameters standard laboratory procedures. RESULTS significantly higher compared control group (629.83 ± 124.20 pmol/mL vs 546.7 122.09 pmol/mL, P < 0.001), there no significant difference (640.02 131.88 616.23 113.92 = 0.432). Furthermore, positive correlation found both FC (r 0.396, 0.001) high sensitivity C-reactive (hsCRP) 0.477, 0.001). Moreover, total population 0.210, 0.016) waist circumference 0.264, 0.002). Multiple linear regression analysis showed that retained association (β SE, 0.06 0.02, 0.003). CONCLUSION Study results support experimental data indicate potential involvement pathophysiology disease, possibly extraintestinal manifestations.
