High accuracy range estimation of FMCW level radar based on the phase of the zero-padded FFT

摘要: A range estimation technique for FMCW level radar based on the phase of FFT beat-note signal is presented. The ambiguity in measurement eliminated by employing zero-padded technology. Formula evaluating rms (root-mean-square) error derived. Computer Monte Carlo simulation results are also given.
