摘要: Changes in the glycosylation pattern of cellular glycoproteins constitute a hallmark human cancer and influence tumor progression, suggesting that inhibitors selected glycosidases may control progression. Following studies on swainsonine, natural inhibitor Golgi alpha-mannosidase II, which highlighted inhibition mannosidases as potential innovative approach for treatment cancer, several dihydroxylated pyrrolidines analogues were developed new potent alpha-mannosidases II able to induce antiproliferative effects cells.
