摘要: This study assesses the hypothesis that hours of work have risen in United States recent decades. Using Current Population Surveys and University Michigan Time-Use Studies, we estimate changes market nonmarket worked between 1969 1989, finding evidence a “time-squeeze.” trend is particularly pronounced among labor force participants who are neither under- nor unemployed.
