摘要: We present first results from observations of a small sample IR-bright Wolf-Rayet stars with the Keck Interferometer in near-infrared, and IONIC beam three-telescope combiner at Infrared Optical Telescope Array (IOTA) observatory. The former were obtained as part shared-risk commissioning form subset high-resolution study dust around using multiple interferometers progress our group. latter are closure phase these near-infrared separated telescope interferometer. Earlier aperture-masking Keck-I provide strong evidence that dust-formation late-type WC result wind-wind collision short-period binaries. Our program interferometer seeks to further examine this paradigm much higher resolution. have spatially resolved binary prototypical dusty type star WR 140. 137, another episodic dust-producing star, has been partially for time, providing direct clue its possible nature. We also include WN investigate circumstellar other main sub-type WRs. unable resolve any these, indicating lack extended dust.Complementary MIDI instrument on VLTI mid-infrared presented contribution workshop.
