摘要: Abstract A new europium complex [Eu(Pic)2(H2O)(EO4)](Pic)·0.75H2O was synthesized and used as the emission material for single layer device structure of ITO/EO4–Eu–Pic/Al, using a spin-coating technique. Study on optical properties where EO4=tetraethylene glycol Pic=picrate anion, had to be undertaken before being applicable study an organic light emitting diode (OLED). The electrical property OLED current–voltage (I–V) measurement also studied. In complex, Eu(III) ion coordinated with EO4 ligand pentadentate mode, one water molecule, two Pic anions bidentate monodentate modes, forming nine-coordination number. photoluminescence (PL) spectra crystalline in solid state its thin film showed hypersensitive peak at 613.5–614.9 nm that assigned 5D0→7F2 transition. narrow band from EO4–Eu–Pic obtained. typical semiconductor I–V curve ITO/EO4–Eu–Pic/Al threshold turn voltages 1.08 4.6 V, respectively. energy transfer process discussed by investigating excitation PL characteristics.
