Epicutaneous exposure of protein antigen induces a predominant Th2-like response with high IgE production in mice.

摘要: Hapten-induced contact hypersensitivity has been well-characterized in humans as well animal models. However, it is not clear whether or protein Ag can directly sensitize epicutaneously and induce a primary immune response. We demonstrated this study, for the first time, that through epicutaneous exposure absence of adjuvant sensitizes animals induces predominant Th2-like Furthermore, mice receiving repeated sustained elevated levels specific IgE. This model be used to investigate molecular mechanism controlling differential Th1/Th2 development skin diseases.
