摘要: HARC—the Highly-Available Resource Co-allocator—is a system for reserving multiple resources in coordinated fashion. HARC can handle types of resource, and has been used to reserve time on supercomputers distributed across nationwide testbed the United States, together with dedicated lightpaths connecting machines. makes these allocations single atomic step; if any resource is not available as required, then nothing reserved. To achieve this “all or nothing” behavior, treats allocation process Transaction, uses phased commit protocol. The Paxos Commit protocol ensure that there no point failure system, which, correctly deployed, very long Mean Time Failure.
