Lives in a chiaroscuro. Should we suspend the puberty of children with gender identity disorder

摘要: Transgender children who are not treated for their condition at high risk of violence and suicide. As a matter survival, many willing to take whatever help is available, even if this offered by illegal sources, often traps them into the juvenile criminal system exposes various threats. Endocrinology offers revolutionary instrument children/adolescents with gender identity disorder: suspension puberty. Suspension puberty raises ethical issues, experts dissent as when treatment should be commenced how followed up. This paper argues that only unethical: it likely improve child's quality life save his or her life, then indeed unethical defer treatment.
