摘要: a b s t r c In the Pleistocene fossil record, bear remains are common, especially in karstic sites due to their hibernation behaviour. However, these fossils rare Spanish Pyrenees, and even more high mountain environment. Now, new site called La Brecha del Rincon has recently been discovered Pyrenees at an altitude of 2160 m. preliminary fieldwork, 105 have recovered, mostly corresponding autopodial bones. Dental with taxonomic value not available, so metapodial bones used for our study. These short thick, typical cave bears, morphometric analysis supports assignment species Ursus deningeri group. This makes highest Iberian Peninsula.
