摘要: A rubber-toughened thermoplastic composite was produced by alternating long glass fiber reinforced polypropylene prepregs and rubber particles. Several laminates were obtained changing the number of plies, powder size distribution, stacking sequence. Quasi-static mechanical tests (tensile flexure) time dependent (dynamic analysis cyclic carried out to evaluate strength damping properties. As expected, 10 wt% rubber-filled showed lower strengths than rubber-free but effect on properties evident. At low rates, particles can also double dissipated energy under loading, even if this disappears increasing test rate.
