摘要: Abstract There is increasing concern about the exposure to fungal aerosols in occupational environments and associated respiratory allergic diseases asthma. A large number of people work cattle sheds around world, pulmonary function impairments higher frequency symptoms have been reported dairy farmers; however, it appears that adequate information on from are largely lacking. Volumetric assessment airborne culturable nonculturable spores was performed two sections a rural indoor shed West Bengal, India for 2 consecutive years. An Andersen Two Stage Viable Sampler used sampling fungi Burkard Personal Slide collect total including both types. 31 spore types 35 viable colony-forming units were recorded. Average concentration range 233–2985/m3 ranged between 165 2225 CFU/m3. showed frequencies Aspergilli/Penicilli, Cladosporium, Alternaria, smut spores. prevalence Aspergillus niger, flavus Cladosporium cladosporioides colonies. Some recorded earlier as allergenic, toxic, pathogenic workers well population. Higher levels during months November through February (winter) June September (late summer rainy season).
