摘要: Traumatic brain injury (TBI) research to date has focused almost exclusively on the pathophysiology of injured neurons with very little attention paid non-neuronal cells. However in past decade, exciting discoveries have challenged this century-old view passive glial cells and led a reinterpretation role central nervous system (CNS) biology pathology. In chapter we review several lines evidence, indicating that cells, particularly astrocytes, are active partners brain, summarize recent findings detail significance astrocyte pathology traumatic injury.
