摘要: Quadrupolar perturbed 35Cl NMR and NQR investigations are performed on single crystals of tetramethylammonium cadmium chloride, (CH3)4NCdCl3 (TMCC), in order to study the formation ferroelastic domains phase II below 118 K which hexagonal symmetry high temperature I is lost. The experimental results cannot simply be explained terms well known monoclinic domain structure but additionally a twin found exist II: six orientational verified from rotational pattern at 113 contrast expected number three for classical 6/mF2/m transition. angle Θ between epitaxially grown twins calculated strain tensors orientation states, applying an algebraic approach. theoretical value = 3.5° very good correspondence with result studies (~4°). Similar were also derived recent x-ray II. In low III 104 non-equivalent Cl positions consistent both space group sixfold enlarged size unit cell respect that as observed XRD studies.
