摘要: The aim of the study was to evaluate histological response and dimensional ridge alterations following application a nanocrystalline hydroxyapatite paste (NHA) into fresh extraction sockets in dogs. Immediately vertical tooth separation extraction, NHA inserted socket second molar lower jaws 10 Untreated sites on opposite side served as controls. Wounds were closed using resorbable sutures after flap elevation. After three six months, 5 animals killed. Lingual buccal bone height, alveolar wall total width 1, 3 mm underneath top crest evaluated. Histological analysis revealed high variability resorption osteoconductive properties with different rates material resorption. No statistically significant differences could be observed between corresponding aspects test control sites. Both groups higher than lingual at both time periods. does not seem useful for preservation procedures since it failed prevent while revealing osseous integration but unpredictable role non-resorbed remnants implant placement is unclear requires further investigation.
