摘要: The literature on the reactions of carbon and metal oxides in a vacuum is reviewed results an experimental study reduction several by are reported. None refractory studied were stable contact with at temperatures above 1380°C. Oxides multivalent metals reacted 700°C. or less. As method for producing pure metals, best obtained chromium, vanadium, columbium, tantalum. A chromium analyzing 97 per cent Cr vanadium 93 V obtained. It concluded that would be practical only production more expensive rare metals.
