摘要: Background When medical devices and equipment in an operating room are connected to a network, vast amounts of data concerning the progress operation patient's condition can be comprehensively processed improve precision safety surgical procedure. To make this possible, next-generation networked room, “Smart Cyber Operating Theater” (SCOT), has been developed with medical-engineer cooperation. SCOT integrates stand-alone using “OPeLiNK” communication interface. Using OPeLiNK, various data, such as intraoperative magnetic resonance imaging, neuromonitoring, biochemical monitoring, navigation system, integrated displayed same timeline. Case Description The authors succeeded clinical tumor resection via endoscopic endonasal approach system 79-year-old man large nonfunctioning pituitary adenoma. surgeons performed while sharing information real time between all staff supervising expert at strategy desk. Any decisions, procedures, were made discussion postoperative course was uneventful. Conclusions This is first case report successfully SCOT. Further developments technology may lead innovations not only microscopic neurosurgery but also neurosurgery.
