摘要: The study was designed to identify the most appropriate roughage concentrate ratio for Malpura ewes under semi-arid tropical environments. conducted a period of 35 days and included 30 (2 years old) non-pregnant weighing between 35 kg. Estrus synchronization carried out in all animals using indigenously developed intravaginal sponges impregnated with progesterone. were randomly divided into three groups (n = 10/group) namely R50 (n = 10; concentrate, 50:50), R60 60:40), R70 70:30). Individual feed water intake recorded on daily basis throughout course study. Growth variables, physiological responses, blood metabolites, endocrine responses estimated at weekly intervals. Results indicated that nutritional treatment significantly influenced growth variables including body weight (p < 0.01), BCS (p < 0.05), (p < 0.01) among different groups. highest whereas lowest R70. Both respiration rate plasma estradiol levels (p < 0.05) also showed similar trend as variables. However, hormone T3 Hb glucose estrus duration demonstrated reverse values R50. did not influence pulse rate, rectal temperature, T4, progesterone, PCV, total cholesterol, protein, albumin, estrus%, cycle length. Since additional supplementation improve production it can be concluded providing 70 % 30 % could more economically feasible ration composition reared
