摘要: A high-resolution simulation model of a heterogeneous low-permeability rock sample is used to investigate the effects physical and biogenic sedimentary structures on scaling anisotropy absolute permeability at core scale. Several sub-samples with random locations volumes were also selected for evaluation scale lithological composition calculated permeability. Vertical horizontal values (from whole simulation) are in good agreement routine analysis (RCA) measurements from offsetting cores. Despite relatively reservoir quality associated geobodies relic bedding structures, results full diameter demonstrate that their limited volumetric abundance restricted connectivity prevent these features controlling fluid flow rocks. In fact, seems be dominated by tighter encasing matrix, which exhibits average very close those reported RCA. Geometric averaging offers better representation upscaling datasets; whereas, both geometric harmonic work similarly well vertical measurements. The methodology this particularly applicable detailed characterization rocks high degree heterogeneity caused biological reworking diagenesis.
