摘要: This chapter discusses the possibilities of fostering developmental universities. As a first step, it examines actual role universities in Innovation Systems. A main aspect relation between and society at large is type degree autonomy that have; notion connected proposed. Particular attention given to describing prevailing academic evaluation systems, showing they are detrimental from point view Sustainable Human Development, trying understand why nevertheless kept place. Some alternatives suggested for elaborating metrics systems do not hamper but foster contribution improving quality life everybody.
