摘要: A high prevalence of G12 rotavirus strains has previously been reported in southern Mozambique. In this study, the full genomes five Mozambican were determined directly from stool using an Illumina Miseq platform. One sample (0060) contained intergenogroup co-infection a G12P[8] Wa-like strain and GXP[14] DS-1-like strain. The sequences seven genome segments, detected for strain, clustered with diverse group mostly animal strains, suggesting possible origin. samples G12P[6] backbones. Phylogenetic analyses VP4 VP7 encoding segments suggested that they reassortants containing backbones are similar to study confirms previous observations interspecies transmission emphasizes importance whole-genome sequencing order evaluate co-infections reassortants.
