Flow injection analysis of nitrate and nitrite in commercial baby foods.

摘要: Commercial baby foods are an easy alternative to home-made meals especially for working parents in a nuclear family therefore it is imperative determine the nitrate and nitrite content commercially available varieties marketed Fiji. A total of 108 food samples were analyzed using our standardized flow injection analysis (FIA) technique with colorimetric detection employing sulfanilamide N-(1-naphthyl)ethylenediamine dihydrochloride as color reagents where throughput was 38 h(-1). The commercial chosen comprised vegetables, cereals, fruits milk. study shows that studied ranges from 2.10 220.67 mg kg(-1) whereas 0.44 3.67 kg(-1). Typical recoveries spiked residues ranged 92% 106%. average Fiji descends below maximum level proposed by European Union Legislation.
