摘要: Abstract Poly(vinylphosphonic acid) (PVPA) forms interpolymer complexes with poly(4-vinylpyridine) and poly(2-vinylpyridine) in ethanol/water ( 1 ) solution. Both the yield composition of complex depend on feed composition. All do not show distinct glass transition temperatures (Tgs) up to onset degradation. It is conceivable that strong interactions between PVPA poly(vinylpyridine)s might raise Tgs above degradation temperatures. An X-ray photoelectron spectroscopic study shows some pyridine groups various are protonated as shown by existence two nitrogen environments N1s spectra. The extent protonation increases increasing content complex. P2p spectra phosphorus environments, one arising from phosphonic acid other phosphonate. Therefore, ionic pyridinium phosphonate ions responsible for complexation.
